What is PVAlerter?

PVAlerter is the next-gen MT4 alert where it can detect three things for you:

1. The Pairs
2. The Timeframe
3. The Support and Resistance

This alert system is smart enough to tell the difference between support and resistance level, the pair you are using and which timeframe you activated the alert. "She" will speak to you, telling with the right instrument name and details so you'll know what's coming up and be ready for it.

Overview

PVAlerter supports the following notification methods:

1. Sound Alert with or without smart calling
2. Window Pop Up Alert
3. Email Alert
4. Push Notification Alert

PVAlerter "Smart speaking" system supports 28 pairs of currency pairs and Gold (XAUUSD). More instruments will be added later if I get a good amount of requests from you guys.

For the unsupported instruments, you won't hear the lady calling the name of the instrument. Instead, you'll hear her calling the timeframe and S/R only.

After you've extracted the files, you will see a folder "MQL4". Inside this folder, there is one folder labeled "PVAlerter". Copy this folder into your MT4 Data folder, inside the MQL4 folder:

How to Use PVAlerter

Every PVLine you drew will have PVAlerter button attached at the tip of the level. It's indicated by a round dot beside the info text. To activate the alert, all you have to do is click on the gray dot and it will turn int green color.

Clicking it again will switch it off back to the initial state (gray color). Once the alerter went off, the green dot will turn red, meaning the alert has expired and it's time for you to take action (to delete the line or just leave it, depend on your own trading strategy).

PVAlerter Properties

The four alert modes have their own switch where you can turn it on or off. Let's drill down one by one so you'll get the idea how to play with PVAlerter settings.

Pop-up Alert

Pop Up alert in MT4 will launch a little alert window to let you know you've triggered an alert. There is also a default sound played when your alert went off, and you can set it on your MT4 Options > Events tab.

However, there is a weakness of pop up alert in MT4. If your "Events" is ticked (enabled), you won't be able to hear the smart calling voices from PVAlerter because everything will be overwrote by the Events alert file.

If you want to have both Pop up alert and Sound alert in PVPro to work together, you have to remove the tick to disable your MT4 Events.

This is a limitation on the MT4 itself, we can do nothing about it 😣

Send Email Alert

This part will let you send a text message to your email. The image below is the example of what you'll receive when alert goes off:

Push Notification Alert

Push notification alert will let you send the alert directly to your iOS or Android phone. Input your MetaQuote ID into your MT4 options and you can start using this option.

Sound & Voice Alert

In "Sound Alert" section, there are few more options to choose from. You can do the following:

• activate only the default sound
• let the lady tell you the timeframe and Support or Resistance
• ask her to tell you the symbol name, timeframe and S/R
